What 8C Means

The 8C (older 8E) code means the MEMS vibration sensor that detects drum balance/movement has faulted.

The vibration sensor on the top of the tub has failed.

A disconnected or loose sensor harness.

How to Fix It

  1. Power-cycle the washer (unplug 1 minute).
  2. Inspect the MEMS sensor connector at the top of the tub.
  3. Replace the MEMS sensor if 8C persists.
