Information We Collect

Appliance Code Finder does not collect personal information directly through browsing. There are no user accounts, login systems, or newsletters. The data associated with your visit comes from standard web server logs maintained by our hosting provider and from the third-party services described below.

We use your browser's localStorage to remember small preferences on your own device — for example, that you dismissed our cookie notice. This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to us.

Cloudflare (Hosting and Analytics)

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard connection data (such as your IP address) as part of delivering the site to you. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides us with aggregate, privacy-friendly traffic data; it does not use cookies and does not track individual users.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from). Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device type. We have not enabled advertising features in our Analytics configuration.

Google AdSense

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense. When active, Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Amazon Associates (Affiliate Links)

Appliance Code Finder is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link and visit Amazon, Amazon may set cookies on your device to track the referral. We do not have access to any data Amazon collects about you.

Children's Privacy

Appliance Code Finder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you rights regarding your personal information. Since we do not collect, sell, or share personal information directly, there is generally no data for us to provide or delete. You still have the right to request to know what we have collected (if anything), request deletion, opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
