What E05 Means

E05 indicates the dryer expected water to enter the steam system within a set time and did not detect it. The cycle is paused or aborted because steaming without water can damage the generator.

Symptoms

  • E05 on display during a Steam cycle
  • No steam during steam phase
  • Standard cycles unaffected

Common Causes

Household water supply closed

Supply valve to the dryer is off.

How to Fix It

  1. Confirm the water supply valve at the wall is fully open.
  2. Pull the dryer out and inspect the inlet hose for kinks; straighten or replace.
  3. Shut off water, disconnect the inlet hose at the dryer, and clean the small inlet screen with a soft brush.
  4. Reconnect, restore water, and run a Steam cycle.
  5. If E05 persists, test the water inlet valve solenoid for continuity and replace if open.
