Bosch Oven E300 — Door Lock Motor Drive Fault
Bosch Oven · Error code E300
What E300 Means
The control commanded the self-clean door lock to move, but the lock motor never reached the expected end position within the allowed time window. Sister fault to E305.
Symptoms
- Self-clean won't start
- Lock motor audibly runs but doesn't latch
- Door stays unlocked when it should be locked
- E300 at start of clean cycle
Common Causes
Motor winding open or gearbox stripped.
Bent latch or debris in mechanism.
Motor drives but switch never reports new state.
Relay output to the lock motor dead.
How to Fix It
- Power off, then back on — try the self-clean again to rule out a one-time stall.
- Open the door and visually inspect the latch — it should move freely when actuated by hand (with power off).
- Remove the top trim and check the latch motor connector.
- If the motor runs but the switch never changes, replace the entire latch assembly (sold as a unit).
- If the motor never runs at all and voltage is present at the connector, replace the latch motor; if no voltage, replace the main control.
