What E0511 Means

The control is not seeing tach feedback from the cabinet cooling fan, or the fan is drawing abnormal current. Without cooling airflow, the oven will not allow high-temperature operation.

Symptoms

  • Oven shuts off shortly after preheat
  • Fan audibly silent or sluggish
  • Excessive heat at control panel area
  • E0511 appears after a few minutes of cooking

Bearings seized or windings open.

How to Fix It

  1. Power off and let the oven cool fully.
  2. Listen for the cooling fan at power-up — should run during and for several minutes after any cooking.
  3. Remove the back panel and verify the fan spins freely by hand.
  4. Reseat the fan motor connector at the main control.
  5. Replace the cooling fan motor if it doesn't run when commanded.
  6. If voltage is reaching a known-good fan and it still won't run, the main board's fan driver is bad.
