What FCE1 Means

The main control has detected a console or communication-channel fault outside the F6/F7 ranges. Behavior is similar to F70 / F6E1.

Symptoms

  • FCE1 on display
  • Console unresponsive or partial
  • Cycle won't start
  • Random aborts

Common Causes

Loose UI harness

Cable between UI and main board not seated correctly.

Failed user interface

UI board has stopped responding on the comm bus.

Failed main control board

Hardware failure on the main control.

How to Fix It

  1. Unplug for 5 minutes, restore power, try a Timed Dry.
  2. Open the console and reseat the UI-to-main harness.
  3. Replace the user interface board first.
  4. If FCE1 persists, replace the main control board.
