Whirlpool Dryer · Error code F3E3
What F3E3 Means

- Cycle aborts shortly after start
- Clothes damp at end of cycle
Common Causes
Sensor element open or shorted.
Heat damage to the wires running near the heating element housing.
Failed thermistor input circuit on the main control board.
How to Fix It
- Unplug the dryer and access the heater housing per the tech sheet (back panel on most models).
- Locate the inlet thermistor on the heater housing.
- Disconnect and measure resistance — should be near 10K ohms at room temperature.
- Inspect the harness for melt damage from the heater.
- Replace the inlet thermistor; if the code returns, replace the main control board.
