What F3E1 Means

The control sees an open circuit on the thermistor or Optical Water Indicator (OWI/turbidity sensor) in the sump. The dishwasher cannot verify water temperature or clarity.

  3. Unplug and reseat both ends of the harness. Inspect for chafe spots, especially where the harness crosses the frame.
  4. Run service diagnostic from the tech sheet. If F3E1 persists with the harness verified good, replace the OWI/thermistor assembly.
  5. Reassemble and run a Normal cycle to verify.
