Samsung Microwave C-h0 — Convection Over-Temperature

Samsung Microwave · Error code C-h0

What C-h0 Means

The convection thermistor exceeded the safe upper limit during a convection or combo cycle. Control aborts to prevent damage.

Symptoms

  • C-h0 mid convection cycle
  • Hot smell
  • Cycle stops and fan runs to cool

Common Causes

1
Blocked vents or filters

Heat can't escape; cavity overheats.

2
Failed convection fan motor

No air movement across the heater.

3
Shorted convection thermistor

Reads abnormally high.

4
Failed heater relay on main PCB (stuck closed)

Heater stays energized past target.

How to Fix It

  1. Stop using the unit and let it cool fully.
  2. Clean grease and charcoal filters and clear all vent paths.
  3. Verify convection fan operation on power up.
  4. Measure the convection thermistor against the service chart.
  5. If thermistor and fan are OK, replace the main control board (stuck heater relay).
  6. If unsure or comfort with HV components is low, call service.
