Samsung Microwave C-d1 — Touchpad/Control Board Communication Fault
Samsung Microwave · Error code C-d1
What C-d1 Means
The main board can't read the keypad matrix correctly. Often the same root cause as C-d0 — a wet or failed touchpad — but sometimes the control PCB itself.
Symptoms
- C-d1 (or Cd1) on display
- Keypad partially or fully unresponsive
- Random beeping
- Cycle will not start
Common Causes
Common after spills or aggressive cleaning of the control panel.
Open/short in the keypad matrix.
Loose ribbon at the PCB header gives intermittent reads.
Control IC or keypad scan circuit on the PCB has failed.
How to Fix It
- Unplug the microwave for 5+ minutes.
- If C-d1 returns immediately, open the control panel.
- Reseat the touchpad ribbon at the main board; inspect for green/white corrosion.
- Disconnect the touchpad and power on briefly — if the error clears, the touchpad is at fault.
- Replace the touchpad/control panel assembly with the OEM part.
- If the error persists with the touchpad disconnected, replace the main control board.
