LG Washer OE Error — Will Not Drain
LG Washer · Error code OE
What OE Means
The OE (Outlet Error) code means the washer did not pump the water out within the expected time. The control board detects water still in the tub after the drain step and stops the cycle.
Most Likely Fix
Drain error - water not draining within time limit
Tools: screwdriver, nut driver, towels
Diagnose first: Clogged pump filter is the most common cause; failed pump motor or impeller is next.

Symptoms
- Standing water left in the drum
- Cycle pauses or stops mid-wash
- OE shown on the display
Common Causes
Lint, coins, and debris collect in the pump filter behind the small access panel at the front-bottom of the machine. This is the #1 cause.
The corrugated drain hose at the back can kink or clog where it meets the standpipe.
A pump that hums but does not move water, or is silent, has likely failed.
How to Fix It
- Power off and unplug the washer.
- Open the small panel at the front-bottom, place a towel/tray, and unscrew the drain pump filter slowly to drain the water.
- Clean lint and debris from the filter and the housing.
- Check the drain hose for kinks and clear any clog at the standpipe.
- If the pump still will not drain after cleaning, test/replace the drain pump.
