Symptoms

  • Standing water left in the drum
  • Cycle pauses or stops mid-wash
  • OE shown on the display

Common Causes

1
Clogged drain pump filter

Lint, coins, and debris collect in the pump filter behind the small access panel at the front-bottom of the machine. This is the #1 cause.

2
Kinked or clogged drain hose

The corrugated drain hose at the back can kink or clog where it meets the standpipe.

3
Failed drain pump

A pump that hums but does not move water, or is silent, has likely failed.

How to Fix It

  1. Power off and unplug the washer.
  2. Open the small panel at the front-bottom, place a towel/tray, and unscrew the drain pump filter slowly to drain the water.
  3. Clean lint and debris from the filter and the housing.
  4. Check the drain hose for kinks and clear any clog at the standpipe.
  5. If the pump still will not drain after cleaning, test/replace the drain pump.
