What F3 Means
Older-style code: the EOC sees an open circuit on the oven temperature sensor input. Equivalent to F31 on newer models.
Symptoms
- F3 at preheat or shortly after
- Oven heat cuts off
- Temperature display stuck or wrong
Common Causes
Internal element of the sensor probe has broken.
Plug at the rear of the EOC has worked loose.
Wire severed where it exits the cavity.
How to Fix It
- Cut power.
- Remove the rear panel; unplug the sensor.
- Measure resistance — open = bad sensor.
- Replace the sensor and inspect harness routing.
- Reassemble and verify F3 is gone before returning to service.
