Bosch Washer E27 — Low Voltage / Power Supply Fault

Bosch Washer · Error code E27

What E27 Means

The control board has detected supply voltage outside the operating range during a cycle.

Symptoms

  • Cycle aborts unexpectedly
  • Display flickers
  • Error appears during heat or spin
  • Lights in home dim when washer runs

Common Causes

1
Brownout / low line voltage

Voltage drops below ~95 VAC during high-current phase.

2
Shared circuit overload

Dryer, microwave, or other heavy load on same breaker.

3
Loose receptacle or worn plug

Increased resistance at the outlet.

4
Extension cord in use

Cord voltage drop trips the protection.

5
Failed control board power section

Misreads supply voltage.

How to Fix It

  1. Plug the washer directly into a dedicated wall outlet (no extension cords or power strips).
  2. Verify nothing else is on the same branch circuit during operation.
  3. Measure voltage at the outlet while a cycle is running — should stay above ~108 VAC.
  4. Replace the outlet if loose or showing burn marks.
  5. Call an electrician if home voltage is consistently low.
  6. If voltage is fine, the control board's power monitoring is suspect — replace board.
