How to Clean Oven Glass (Including Between the Panes)
Oven door glass gets a baked-on brown haze that regular wipes won't touch, and sometimes streaks appear trapped between the two panes. Here is how to handle both.
Cleaning the Inside Glass
Make a paste of baking soda and a little water, spread it on the cool inside glass, and let it sit 15-30 minutes. The baked-on grease lifts so you can wipe it away with a damp cloth. For stubborn spots, add a spritz of vinegar (it foams) and a gentle scrub with a non-scratch pad or a razor scraper held flat.
Streaks Between the Glass Panes
Moisture and grease can get between the door's glass panels through the vent slots at the top edge of the door, leaving streaks you cannot wipe. The clean way to reach them is to access through those top vent slots: wrap a thin microfiber cloth around a flat tool (a paint stick or a flexible ruler), dampen it with glass cleaner, and slide it down between the panes through the slots.
For a Deeper Clean: Remove the Door
Most oven doors lift off (open fully, flip the hinge locks, and lift up and out). Some models let you then unscrew the door's inner panel to fully separate the glass for cleaning. Check your model — if the door comes apart, you can clean both panes completely, then reassemble.
