What PC Means

The pantry/deli drawer temperature sensor is open or shorted. The drawer's temperature regulation depends on this sensor, so the drawer may run too warm or too cold.

Symptoms

  • 'PC' on display
  • Pantry drawer freezing food
  • Pantry drawer too warm
  • Drawer setpoint will not adjust

Common Causes

Failed pantry thermistor

Probe in the deli drawer has gone open.

Pinched harness behind drawer

Slide rail pinched the sensor wire.

Loose connector at rear of cabinet

Harness connector to the main board unseated.

How to Fix It

  1. Pull the pantry drawer fully out and inspect the wiring for pinches or cuts.
  2. Disconnect the sensor and read resistance — about 10kΩ at room temperature.
  3. Replace the sensor if it reads open or wildly off-spec.
  4. Reseat the connector at the main control board on the back of the cabinet.
  5. Replace the main control if sensor and wiring both test good.
