Symptoms
- F2E1 on the display
- Cancel key has no effect
- Display may go blank between attempts
- No beeps when pressing keys
Common Causes
A cable backed out of the control's ZIF socket, or a crease in the ribbon has cracked a trace.
Liquid intrusion has bridged trace lines under the keypad.
If the ribbon and keypad are good, the input circuit on the EOC has failed.
How to Fix It
- Disconnect power at the breaker for 1 minute, restore, and press Cancel.
- If F2E1 returns within 60 seconds, kill power again and access the control.
- Reseat the keypad ribbon in its ZIF socket — make sure the lock bar is fully down.
- Inspect the ribbon for kinks, cracks, or liquid stains, and the keypad for bulging or burn marks.
- Replace the keypad if any of those are present.
- If the new keypad still throws F2E1, replace the electronic oven control board.
