Samsung Oven E-0A — Oven Overheating
Samsung Oven · Error code E-0A
What E-0A Means
Alternate display of an overheating condition on older Samsung electric ranges. Functionally equivalent to C-21 — cavity temperature exceeded safe threshold.
Symptoms
- E-0A on display, heat shuts off
- Oven runs hotter than setpoint
- Repeats on retry
- May trip thermal fuse
Common Causes
RTD drifted and the relay overdrove the element.
Relay stuck closed.
Cavity can't release heat.
Element grounded and stays energized.
How to Fix It
- Stop using the oven until repaired.
- Cut power at the breaker and let the cavity cool.
- Test the temperature sensor (~1080 ohms at room temp); replace if out of spec.
- Inspect and clear the oven vent.
- Test elements for short to ground; replace if shorted.
- If sensor and elements check out, replace the main control board (relay stuck closed).
