What C80 Means

Samsung dryers run a vent check and report C80 (~80% blocked) or C90 (over 90% blocked). It warns the exhaust duct is clogged — an airflow and fire-safety issue.

Common Causes

Lint-clogged exhaust duct

Lint has accumulated in the duct between the dryer and the outside vent.

How to Fix It

  1. Clean the lint filter and the filter housing.
  2. Disconnect the duct and clean it fully out to the exterior vent with a brush kit.
  3. Replace crushed flexible duct with rigid/semi-rigid duct; confirm the outside flap opens.
  4. Run the Vent Check (Smart Check) again to confirm it clears.
