Roborock Robot Vacuum Error 23 — Dock locator beacon issue
Roborock Robot Vacuum · Error code Error 23
What Error 23 Means
The signal from the dock that guides the robot home is being received incorrectly — usually dock placement/blockage, sometimes a dock transmitter fault.
Symptoms
- Voice prompt 'Please make sure the home base signal-emitting area is clean'
- App shows Error 23
- Robot circles dock but won't dock
Common Causes
Reflective surfaces scatter the IR beacon.
Dust on the emitter window.
Direct sunlight near dock confuses the IR docking sequence.
Failed IR emitter board on the dock.
How to Fix It
- Wipe the front of the dock with a dry cloth.
- Relocate the dock away from mirrors, glass, and direct sunlight.
- Give the dock 1.5 feet clearance on each side and 5 feet in front.
- Power-cycle the dock by unplugging it for 30 seconds.
- If the issue persists in a good location, the dock IR board has failed — replace the dock.
