What F02 Means

The control detected a button on the user interface that has been pressed for more than ~1 minute, or sees a shorted key. The dryer will not respond to commands.

Symptoms

  • F02 on display

Common Causes

Stuck or shorted membrane button

Most common — the touch panel membrane has a key shorted closed.

Spilled liquid or debris on console

Sticky residue can hold a button down.

Less common — the UI board itself has failed.

Connection between keypad and UI board is loose.

How to Fix It

  1. Unplug the dryer for 1 minute and plug back in.
  2. Press each button individually to identify a sticky or unresponsive one.
  3. Clean the console face with a slightly damp cloth (never spray cleaner on it).
  4. If a key is physically stuck, replace the keypad/membrane assembly.
  5. If all keys feel normal but the code persists, replace the user interface board.
  6. Verify operation with a test cycle.
