What F17 Means

The lower-oven convection fan is not turning when commanded, or its feedback is missing for more than ~1 minute during a convection cycle.

How to Fix It

  1. Power down at the breaker.
  2. Remove the lower-cavity rear convection cover and spin the blade by hand — must spin free.
  3. Tighten blade hub or replace bent blade.
  4. Disconnect the motor at its plug and measure winding resistance against service-manual spec.
  5. Replace lower convection fan motor if open or seized.
  6. If the motor checks good, verify line voltage to the motor plug while the control commands convection; if absent, replace the main control board.
