LG Dishwasher · Error code F37
What F37 Means
On models with the Auto Open Door dry feature, the door did not open as commanded at the end of the cycle. The wash itself was unaffected.
Symptoms
- F37 at end of cycle
- Door does not pop open automatically
- Dishes wetter than usual
- Auto-open mechanism audible but no movement
Common Causes
Counter molding, towels, or cabinet trim prevents the door from popping open.
Vent / push motor at top of door burned out.
Push arm cracked from impact or age.
Connector backed out during service.
How to Fix It
- Ensure no towel, trim, or magnetic strip is on the front of the dishwasher.
- Verify the cabinet opening clears the door by at least an inch above the unit.
- Open the door, remove the inner door trim, and locate the auto-open vent motor.
- Reseat the motor harness and inspect the push arm for cracks.
- Run the cycle and observe whether the motor engages at end-of-cycle.
- Replace the auto-open vent motor if it does not actuate.
- If motor actuates but door does not pop, replace the broken linkage.
