What 1902 Means

Controller lost the engine RPM signal from the magnetic pickup or ignition module. Without a valid RPM reference the controller cannot safely run the engine and will shut it down.

Symptoms

  • 1902 fault
  • Engine cranks but shuts down immediately or fails to confirm start
  • May follow a 1500/1505 overcrank

  5. If wiring and pickup are good and 1902 persists, replace ignition module or escalate to dealer.
