What HI Means
Internal compartment temperature has risen above the safe threshold — usually paired with an audible alarm.

Common Causes

Door left ajar
Most common cause — gasket not sealing or door blocked open.

Lots of warm food added at once.
How to Fix It
- Press the Alarm Reset/HI button to silence the alarm.
- Check that all doors are fully closed and gaskets seal.
- Allow up to 24 hours for temperature to recover with normal load.
- If HI returns, verify evaporator fan is running and coil is not iced over.
- Check condenser coil is clean.
- If temperature does not recover, diagnose cooling system (compressor, sealed system, sensors).
