What F28 Means

The User Interface board cannot communicate with the Main Control board. Dryer may not respond to inputs.

Ribbon or connector at one end worked loose.

How to Fix It

  1. Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes.
  2. Open the control console and inspect the harness between UI and main control.
  3. Reseat both ends of the connector.
  4. Inspect the harness for damage along its full run.
  5. Replace UI board first if reseat doesn't fix; if F28 persists, replace main control.
